Quarterworks is the second album released by Fairlights on the Alphabet Set label and will be released on the 2nd of March, 2007. The album concentrates on the more electronic side of things and will be launched at a special gig with the good people from Lazybird, upstairs in Anseo on Sun 25th of March.

"the album opens up with the beautifully atmospheric liminality with huge washes of spacey synths battling against slow building wall of noise guitar soundscapes, sounding at times like spacemen 3 trying to play over the end of a my bloody valentine live show, the album is full of lush and sometimes haunting synth sounds with plenty of reverb laden guitar effects calling to mind the likes of rothko or some of the more recent drone based material on the kranky label, if you were a fan of the delia gonzales and gavin russom album from last then you wil absolutely adore this record, there are also plenty of touches of repetitive krautrock experimentalism, this is an exceptionally good record and well worth your attention"
