************ NEWS 18.OCT.06 ************ ************************************** *********** Fairlights @ DEAF06 *********** **************************************
Fairlights will be playing at the 2006 Dublin Electronic Arts Festival (DEAF06) in Pravda on Weds the 25th of Oct. This will be the first gig with our new line-up featuring Liam Caffrey on guitar/laptop and Dara 'Dip' Higgens on bass. We're on at the Electronic King Kong at half nine and will be debuting a lot of new tunes.
A new Fairlights album entitled Quarterworks will be released in the very near future. Tracks from the album have been posted on this site over the past year generally consist of more electronic, instrumental works. More details coming very soon.
The Spatial Music Collective (spatialMC) is dedicated to showcasing electronica and electro-acoustic music by composers with an interest in surround sound and spatial music. They will be performing for the first time in November, more details coming soon.
if-then-else is a multimedia performance that combines traditional disciplines such as music, film and theatre, with technologies such as real-time video processing and multi-channel sound distribution. This performance is an adaptation of the video piece, if () then () else (), by Mike Liffey.
Finally, the excellent Miriam Ingram has just released her new album to great reviews and is performing a number of upcoming gigs around the country. Check www.miriamingram.com for details.

Quarterworks, our new 7-track album will be released on the 2nd of March.
The album concentrates on the more electronic end of things and will be launched with a gig at Lazybird on Sunday F25th February, upstairs in Anseo. Also performing on the night will be Alphabet Set's finest, Thalamus. To hear some tracks from the album, click here.
